The Administrative Services
Division is comprised of Data Entry, customer service, the Telephone
Reporting Unit, work release, management research, crime analysis, information
services, and the Training Section, which is under the
direction of Deputy Chief Ricky L. Whitmore who reports
directly to the Chief of Police.
The Training Section is responsible for developing
and maintaining a comprehensive program of professional and technical
training for members of the Department by conducting classes and promoting
training opportunities outside the Department. Ensuring departmental
compliance with the Rules and Regulations of the Commission on Law Enforcement
Standards and Training. The maintaining a firearms training and qualifications
program, weapons inspection, issuance of ammunition and maintenance
of all Departmental shooting range equipment.
