Shooting Results in One Dead at 25th and Georgia

     On January 12, 2024, just before 8:30 PM, Officers of the Pine Bluff Police Department responded to the area of 25th and Georgia for reports of gunshots in the area and a traffic accident. On arrival the officers found a male with apparent gunshot wounds lying in the street on S. Georgia at the intersection of E. 25th Ave. The male was lying near a vehicle he reportedly had been driving. The vehicle had run partially off of the roadway after crossing Georgia St. The male had suffered apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was later determined to be a 16-years-old juvenile. The juvenile victim's identity will not be released due to his age.

     This homicide is still in the early stages of the investigation at the time of this release. There is no suspect information to release at this time.
