On February 20, 2026, just after 8:30 P.M., Officers of the Pine Bluff Police Department responded to 2215 S. Blake, Two Brothers One Stop, for a shooting. On arrival, Officers found 21-year-old male Markeise Gipson lying unresponsive in the parking lot near the building. Gipson had apparent gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead at the scene. Two other males were also struck by gunfire. Both of the other males were transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center. The victims transported to the hospital were last reported to be stable with injuries that were not believed to be life threatening.
The suspects in this shooting were driving a gray wide body Dodge Charger with a black roof, a spoiler, and a hood scoop. The motive behind this shooting is still undetermined. This homicide is in the early stages of investigation and there is no further information to release at this time.
