The Pine Bluff Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency consisting of sworn officers and professional staff employees. The Department is responsible for:
- Maintaining public peace.
- Protecting the rights of all persons and property.
- Preventing crime.
- Being aware and arresting criminals.
- Upholding and enforcing state and local laws.
- Developing and maintaining a relationship with the community.
- Actively patrolling and dissuading criminal activity.
- Traffic education and enforcement to reduce crashes.
- The Department covers 44.18 square miles.

The uniformed Patrol Division is the largest division within the Pine Bluff Police Department. Patrol operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Day Shift: 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Swing Shift: 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Graveyard Shift: 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.
The Patrol Division also includes the Traffic Division and Bike Patrol. All shifts are supervised by one Shift Commander and two Shift Supervisors.
The Patrol Division responds to an average of 40,000 calls for service each year. The overall mission is to provide community-oriented police service to the citizens of Pine Bluff. We are dedicated to protecting life, property, and ensuring fair and equal treatment to everyone.
The Patrol objective is to deter crime, protect the innocent, apprehend criminals, recover stolen property, and satisfy public demands as it relates to crime and crime prevention.
